The world's most beautiful bike race

Den spektakulære traséen for første utgave av Arctic Race of Norway offentliggjøres mandag 27. mai. De fire etappene skal presenteres under en pressekonferanse på Hotell Bristol i Oslo.

Statoil CEO Helge Lund and Norwegian Minster of Trade and Industry Trond Giske expressed great expectations for the first 2013 edition of the Arctic Race of Norway, in a meeting with project director of the ARN, Knut-Eirik Dybdal.

Arctic Race of Norway is proud and overjoyed to confirm that the race now has been officially launched. During a press conference in Harstad Thursday March 7th,  the organising partners Amaury Sports Organisation (ASO) and Arctic Race of Norway AS officially launched the international stage race, which is to take place in Northern Norway between the 8th and 11th of August 2013.

The UCI presented its 2013 Calendar on September 20th and the Arctic Race of Norway has been placed as part of the Europe Tour and as category 2.1. This categorization ensures participation from international professional teams as well as Danish and Norwegian  teams.

2010 World Champion and Tour de France icon Thor Hushovd informs North-Norwegian newspapers that he would love to participate in the Arctic Race of Norway, if his team BMC is invited.

The Council of the County of Troms has voted unanimously for the realization of the Arctic Race of Norway and contributes with the first 12 million NOK (1 600 000 EUR).
